Diversity is a word that gets thrown around a lot into our society today, but does anyone really acknowledge it?
I came to crowther halfway through the 2015 school year, from a small town across the country. Within a couple months, I was captivated with the amount of support in our school society.
My old town did nothing about cultures or beliefs, they pushed it aside, but when I attended the powwow for the first time this spring, it said a lot about our school. It informed me that crowther believes that our differences don’t separate us, it taught me that we should embrace each other’s individual identities, and most importantly, it showed me that crowther values everyone in our school, regardless of culture, abilities, intellect, or identity.
We are one together, and should be strong together.
